How To Ascertain That The Heart Rate And Bp Are Normal?

I had a doctor appointment 2-1/2 weeks ago and another six days ago. On the first one my blood pressure was something like 125/74 but my heart rate was 139. On my next appointment my blood pressure was 143/72 and heart rate was 129. I had my morphine pain pump removed, after five years, in April. Five years before the pump was put in the pain doctor had me on every pain med you could think of from Oxy, AtIque Suckers, to Fentonol patches. I had horrible withdrawals that a stronger person than me would never make it through. Finally my doctor and I settled on BUTRANS PATCHES of 20mcg. With that little bit of background do you think my blood pressure and heart rate is okay. My normal BP usually ran 101/59 or 60 and a HR around 72. Considering what I went through and am now going through, a severe case of RLS, would you think that was a normal BP & HR?

Hi,welcome to HCM.
The blood pressure and heart rate fluctuations in your case can be largely attributed to the pain managing opioids used in your case.Restless leg syndrome can be managed with quinine and lorazepam to prevent high blood pressure. You have reasonably recovered well from these variations ever since you were put off the morphine pump. The normal blood pressure for your age and sex should be between 110-130/60-90 mm of Hg and normal range of heart rate can be between 60-90 bpm.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
