General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

What's the age of the person needing a BMT. Is he suffering from any comorbid conditions like diabetes, cardiac problems, hypertension, hypothyroidism or any other? These conditions if exist, plus the age of the person who needs transplant is more than 60, do not go for transplant.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gurjeet Jagdeo, General Surgeon
