How Soon Can I Take A Pregnancy Test Inspite Of Having Late Periods?

Hi Doctors,

I'm looking for an ob-gyne to answer my concern. I usually take my pills everyday at the same time. Last week of August I stopped taking my pills I had a contact Aug. 29 I took my pills on the 30th of Aug until now. The last day of my period is August 9, my expected date for my next period is on Sept. 6 now I'm 3 days delayed is it normal? Please answer my question. Thanks you!

Hi,
I understand your query.
I take it that by pill.. you mean contraceptive pill. so you had stoppede taking pill in last week of August, had unprotected sex 0n 29th of August & restarted the pills on 30th August till today...
There seems no possibility of conception as you had sex in last week of periods & also restarted it the next day of sex.
You are taking the pill till the date today. Withdrawal bleeding occurs after 8 days of stopping the pill. So you need to stop ppills t& wait for 8 days for periods to start.
You can take pregnancy test any time after 8 days delay in menstrual date .
