How Should Wheezing, Coughing And Labored Breathing Be Treated?

My father works at a commercial paint manufacturing company. He has problems with his lungs, yesterday they used chemicals that have resulted in him wheezing, coughing and labored breathing since yesterday. We are unsure of what to to do to help with his breathing other than taking him to the doctor.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion your father is having chemical induced bronchitis.
Ideally you should consult doctor but you can try these at home.
1. Warm saline gargles 5-6 times
2. Anti inflammatory drug like paracetamol 1 tablet thrice daily.
3. Antibiotic levoflixacin 500mg once daily.
4. Antihistamines thrice daily.
5. Avoid hard, oily and spicy food.
Try this at home. If not improving than please consult doctor. Don't take risk. You may need chest x ray.
