How Should Open Anus Sores With Irritation And Pain Be Treated?
I ve had hemorrhoids which a few were removed surgically a few years ago and had perhaps some little ones growing back, but they are not paintful. About 10 days ago I started getting open sores all around my anus. I went to the general doctor and he gave me a save prescription which is used internally, but that seems to irritate more than in helps. We have bought all the creams and am trying that now, but they give some relief during the day, but going to the bathroom is like passing broken glass. Any ideas about where to go from here?

As per my surgical experience, the current condition is most likely acute fissure around the anus.
Primary guidelines for best relief
- sitz bath (sitting in a tub filled with lukewarm water 3 times a day 5 minutes each, specifically after passing stool)
- high fiber diet with plenty of liquids
- avoid all spices, chilies
- a bulk-forming laxative or lactulose type preparations for keeping stool consistency soft
- analgesic tablet as diclofenac or ibuprofen as per the intensity demand and choice of your doc
- local application of xylocaine jelly only over the external surface
- avoid smoking if consuming.
Be in regular follow up with your consultant for case evaluation and progressive report.
