How Should Tranexamic Be Taken For The Treatment Of Irregular Periods?

Hi.iam 30 yrs old. Having irregular periods first 3 days spotting or little after 3days bleeding started almost 20 days..doctor advised me take tranexamic acid 500 mg for 3days of 2nd or 3rd day of period .but my bleeding start in 4 day of my period how can I take the medicine pls tell me which day I have to start the tablets..pls help me

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think you can start the medicine on day 4 of your periods. But you need to get it evaluated. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and an ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. You may need some hormonal treatment.
