Hello Subbu, I don't know what ASLO is but I guess you meant ASTO (antistreptolysin). This is an obsolete test, which has very limited and specific usage. It involves kidney damage by a particular form of glomerulonephritis. There is absolutely no reason to take antibiotics if your ASTO is the only reason. If there's any other reason (like if you did have glomerulonephritis) then please inform me about it, so I could give you a specific answer. Why was this test ordered? Finally your blood pressure and diabetes have nothing to do with it. I hope I've addressed your concerns! If you need further clarifications on this subject please write again, providing more information as to the reason that this test was ordered and your medical history regarding your kidneys. Kind Regards!
