How much water should be consumed after drinking coffee?

Tell me what is your opinion on coffee. How much water does one need to replace cup of

coffee. Dont get me wrong I am certainly not advocating the habit. Simply want to know.

I heard 5, other studies says 2. It seems like the latter. Thanking You Theda

Hi,
I understood your query.
Actually coffee has a diuretic effect, this created a mis concept that it needs to be replaced by water intake.
Coffee & water both hydrate our body system. So for moderate coffee drinkers( 2-3 cups in a day ) with habit of sufficient water intake, need not take excess water along with coffee,
But in case somebody is consuming less water through out the day/ who takes more than 3 cups of coffee in a day- may feel dehydrated after taking coffee- and need water intake to overcome the dehydration( till dryness of mouth/ wrinkled skin /weakness are gone)
Thanks.
