How Long Will It Take For The Triglyceride Level To Subside After Quitting Red Wine Consumption?

I have recently had a lipid test and my triglycerides are too high. I have been drinking too much red wine for several years after my wife passed away. If I quit drinking the wine how long would it take for it to affect my triglycerides in a positive way?

welcome to hcm,
short answer : with high triglycerides you have to quit alcohol ,must have aerobic exercises, must take fat free diet, along with some medications
detailed answer: because of long term intake of wine the fat has accumulated in your body so a combination of
aerobic exercises
oil free foods (avoid snacks and junk foods)
fat free diet
avoiding alcohol
shifting to vegetarian diet
taking lipid lowering drugs like statins
everything depends upon how strict you are following all these things will reduce your triglyceride levels in due course. hope this explains
