How Long Will It Take For Bronchitis To Cure While On Antibiotics?
I have bronchitis and have been taking an antibiolic for three days and need to continue for 7 more days.... coughing but noting else... question I have a trip planned for the next weekend to fly to Ohio... does that have any effect on me? I have not been given any advice that I have to stay home and do nothing all the time???
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of bronchitis which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and lung infection due to compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do adequate rest not staying all the day at home. You should take preventive measures. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication such as Levocetirizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
