How Long Should Meprate Be Taken To Postpone Periods?

Hi Sir,

My marriage is on 26th Jan. Usually my periods fall due on 24-26th of evry month. I have PCOD. My doc has advised to take Meprate 10 to postpone the period. If i want to postpone it for 5-6 days, how long should I take the tablet? Is it advisable to postpone the period for 15-20 days?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, there is a method to postpone the periods.
Start taking meprate, 10 days before the next due date. And continue till you do not want the periods. When you stop the treatment, the periods will automatically come in few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manmeet Kaur
