General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Daflon acts by improving peripheral venous congestion & circulation as well as an anti-inflammatory effect. So it helps in treating cellulitis secondary to varicose veins/hemorrhoids.
It can be taken for 15 days to tieve the cellulitis & needs treating doctors advise to take it for a longer time(to get investigated (USG) & perfectly diagnosed for change in medication as percause.
Control of diabetes is gone considered at this stage as a factor in nonhealing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
