How Long Does Malaria Take To Get Cured?

I have a friend in Africa who is being treated for malaria with Quinine in 4cc and Coartem (arthemeter) IV. How long would you want to see a response and can he take Ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the headache and pressure? He has to travel home in a few more days.

Hi, thanks for your question. Please rate my answer if you are satisfied.

Malaria usually takes no more than two weeks to get fully treated. Upon starting the treatment recovery is usually fast and completes in a week or two.

And yes he can take ibuprofen and acetaminophen as well.

Feel free to contact me for further queries.
Regards.
