How Long Does It Take To Treat Sunburn On The Face?

I recently got a sunburn on my face. The skin on my forehead, nose, and under my eyes got very stiff. I know I shouldn't of peeled it off but I did. Now I have raw skin on my face. Its very painful. How long will it take for skin to cover over the raw area.

Hi dear ,

The Peeling of the skin after sunburn indicate photoallergic contact dermatitis . This kind of condition can take around month to completely get back to normal with proper treatment .

I would suggest ou to :-

Apply ice pack to the affected area of the skin 2-3 times a days .

Apply broad spectrum sunscreen all the times , even if not under sun exposure .

Apply aloe vera gel at night .

Start taking vitamin C supplements for quick healing .

If condition persist even after a month then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
