Hi,

I understand your concern.

Erosive esophagitis is the inflammation of the internal lining of esophagus which are also eroded.

Recovery time depends on the time of acid depression. By the use of PPIs (proton pump inhibitors), it might need 2 to 8 weeks to get the eroded lining healed.
The faster the compression of acidity, the higher the speed of recovery.

Apart ginger, deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) can help along with:
- increasing your bed level
- avoid alcohol/coffee or other aggravating foods/drinks
- have small, frequent meals
- do not lay down immediately after eating
- have small walking after meal
- continue medications as prescribed (PPIs, antacids or even ranitidine)

Wish fast recovery.
