How Long Does It Take To Feel Better If Suffering From Anaemia And Was Given Blood, B12 Shots, IV Venofer?
I have anemia. Blood count 8. I was given 2 pints blood. I took B-12 shot once weekly for 1 month and then 1 monthly and still taking them. Two weeks ago my Dr. started me on IV Venofer. I have had 2 treatments. So far I feel no.. change. How long does it take to feel better?
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
The response to treatment and feeling of wellbeing depends on the build up of normal hemoglobin levels that is better than 10gm/dl.
It is also necessary that the underlying factors that caused the anemia be addressed and corrected otherwise the hemoglobbin will continue to be low or may sink again once the replacement is stopped.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
