How Long Does It Take For Conception After Abortion?

My first pregnancy ended in april at 12weeks, blighted ovum. I had a d an e. I waited 2months as my doctor recommended. We have been trying and im not getting pregnant. I got pregnant the first time before. Should i be concerned that it isnt going to happen. Every month gets harder waiting. Whats the normal time frame to conceive again. Please advise.

I have gone through your query and understood your concern. There is no fixed time frame for conception after an abortion. The return of ovulation in the normal circumstances occurs within a month and this also depends on the stage of the pregnancy when the abortion occurred. For mid-trimester abortions or miscarriages, this period may be longer. If you have sincerely been trying for more than three months, please make sure that you are regularly ovulating, your tubes are patent and there is no other affecting factor.
