How Long Does Meloxicam Stay In The Body?

Hello; I have been taking the 7.5 mg dosage 1x/day of meloxicam for 2 weeks with no relief. How long does it stay in my system? I wanted to try Alleve tomorrow if its safe. I see my Rheumatoid/Immunologist Dr. on Friday but my pain is intensifying and I am needing some relief so that I can work. We do not yet know my dx and are working on figuring that out. Moderate-Signif. joint pain from head to toe--all joints except my jaw.....I ve been taking Tylenol Arthitis Over the counter to help supplement but that is no longer working the past 3 days. Thanks so much L. Adams

Hi,

Meloxicam is quite good for pain relief. It works for one day to relieve pain. If 7.5 is not working for you, you can increase it to 15 mg once a day until you see your doctor.

You can try Aleve but that's not different from Meloxicam so I don't think it's going to make a difference.

You can use Tylenol with Meloxicam.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
