How Long Can Nexplanon Implant Be Used?

I just had the Nexplanon implant put in at the end of October (the 26th) to be exact. I know with the first 3-6 months there can be irregular periods and bleeding/spotting but I just wanted to make sure mine was normal and at what point should I get it looked at getting it removed if it continues

Hormonal contraception , no matter the format (pill, implant, injection etc) can be associated with irregular bleeding.

In many cases the bleeding occurs for the first few weeks to months then stops.
If your bleeding is heavy or the irregular periods lasts more than 6 months then you should see your doctor

There are medications that can be used to decrease the bleeding.
