How Long Can Fertyl Be Used While Trying For Pregnancy?

Hi I m cath, 22 my husband and I trying for baby in 1 year but I ve never been pregnant. I finish my consultation last monday. I ll I undergo pap smear and ultrasound to check my ovary and they found out small follicles inside they recommend .a to take fertyl tablet to boost my fertility. So how long should I take fertyl tablets? I have a regular cycle. Thanks God Bless

Fertyl is a stimulator of the ovulation and is used when the woman does not ovulate. In your case, because you have regular periods, it is not sure you are not ovulating as it is more of a problem when a woman has irregular menstruation.

I would advise you to have an LH urinary test around 11 days after having your periods and then every other day for the next week. Another test to check for ovulation is progesterone levels on day 21 of the menstrual cycle (21 days after you start your periods).

If you are not ovulating then you can take Fertyl for 5 days, starting from the first day of the periods.

If you are already ovulating the medication is not going to help. In this case, other examinations like semen analysis and hysterosalpingogram are needed.
