How Long Benforce M Have To Be Taken For Irregular Periods?

i am 35 years old and having a baby i have irregular periods and my doctor suggested to take benforce m and i am taking for the past 2 years and getting regular periods and if i stop taking tablets again i go into irreguar periods.how long do i have to take this tablet is there any problem in taking this tablet regularly or should i stop taking this as i am taking for the past 2 years.

HI,
Benforce m is metformin - used for-
- treatment of type 2 diabetes.
- It also used in treating menstrual irregularity in obese patients ( PCOD)
Benforce m does not have direct effect on irregular periods .
I would advice you to get your
- blood glucose levels ( both fasting/post meal ) checked.
- Pelvic ultrasound scan will confirm PCOD-which needs a specific treatment with consultation of a gynecologist.
