How Is Pain Treated Around The Ribs?
Hi I am 17 years old and have been experiencing excrudatating pain for 2 and a half years now in my left ribs and xpoid process. I had an injury to these areas 3 years ago and since then I developed sharp stabbing pain in both areas and clicking has developed in my left ribs. The pain at my xpoid process is so painful I feel sick, it is also very tender and hurts all the time. I also have frequent episodes of unbearable pain in these areas that makes me scream in agony. I need help no seems to know what to do and I m only 17 and am in so much pain that I can t leave my house.

Hello,am Dr Mahesh.If it herts repeatedly then thats most likely a fracture though you need to get evaluated for the same by chest x ray.Since you are just 17 years you need to take care of.Certainly you will need to have pain killers for such pain.Though Paracetamol 500mg three times a day could bring down the pain you always need to consult a physician.Regards.
