How Effective Is Laser Or Minimally Invasive Surgery For Hearing Loss?

My Sister-in-law 37 years old has ear drum rapture a small hole in her ear drum. She has detected with 40% hearing loss in right ear and doctors in Indore MP are suggesting for an operation. Would you please suggest what is the best way to operate this do you know of laser procedure or any other minimum invasive surgery. Can this also be repaired without surgery please advice

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Hole inbthe ear drum needs to be repaired by an operation called 'tympanoplasty'.
This can be undertaken better by minimal invasive surgery. This is done under microscopic view by ENT Surgeon.
Following taking up of the tissue, it not only gives protection to the structures in middle and inner ear, and also you can expect to improve her hearing than what it is before.
