Hie doctor,i started taking my 21day birth control pills soon after i finished my periods and i had unprotected sex that very same day,and also i had unsafe sex during my periods,i was scared that i might have conceived maybe so i took an emergency pill 3 days after i had already started my birth control pills...i am taking my pills correctly and at the same time of the day,and so i just have had another unsafe sex now ,so i wanted to know if i should buy an emergency pill again or should just rely on the birthcontrol pills

hello,
i can understand your concern.
it usually happens this way, if you have started the pill during the menstrual bleed it gives protection right away.
since the pill was started by you the day after the bleed stopped, it takes about a week's time so that you can be sure of protection. during these days additional protection is required.
for the first time when you had unprotected sex since you had emergency contraceptive pill taken, you need not worry about the same.
now if you have crossed one week since you started the 21 day pills, be assured you are protected. there is no need of taking any other mode of contraception.
if one week hasnt passed yet, i would suggest you to follow any other mode of contraception.
hope i have answered your concerns.
feel free to ask further queries.
thanks for choosing HCM
