How Early Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed?

my last period was January 28 to February 1. My boyfriend and I had sex on February 11 and the condom broke. And we did not realize it had broke until after we were finished and it had a big hole in it. I know it’s only been a few days but I was wondering what are the odds that I could be pregnant. we’ve entertained the idea of a baby but we are just worried because we are not sure if i am pregnant or not. I was also wondering what is the earliest I could take a test?

Hello,

Usually, chances of getting pregnant are higher after 12 to 14 days of last menstrual cycle. This fertile duration is about 8-10 days. However, this depends on regularity of menstrual cycles.

In your case, although chances of getting pregnant are less but to be safer side if menstrual bleeding does not start after 40 to 45 days of last cycle, then you can do pregnancy test using morning first urine sample. Confirmatory investigation is abdominal ultrasound test.
