How Early Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed After Unprotected Intercourse?

i had unprotected sex on August 12, then on the 20th I got what I thought was my period. But it was only normal for half a day and stopped and I was spotting for 3 days. I ve had mild cramping for a few days. And then went to the bathroom tonight, and when i wiped there were 2 spots of blood. Could I be pregnant, when can I take a test?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you need to get your blood pregnancy test and Ultrasound of the pelvis to confirm pregnancy. Gynecologist consultation is advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
