How Early Can HCG Test Be Taken To Confirm Pregnancy?

Hi! When is the earliest to have a pregnancy test? My last period was January 21 and it last was until January 22. I don't have a menstrual period until now. I just know I am positive because of my pre employment test. May I know what is that test that they did to know if I am pregnant? They want me to take a hcg test to make it confirm so we can proceed to chest test. Thank you in advance.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

A HCG test( Test for Human chorion gonadotrophin) which is used for checking of pregnancy could be done after missing your expected period. Their are two ways to do this test
1 Urine method:- this method is easy & should be done few days after missing your period. Test kits are easily available in market. Follow instructions on pack. Presence of two lines on test kit would confirm that you are pregnant. Test result with first urine sample of morning is more reliable.
2. Blood test( Test for beta HCG):- this test is more accurate & expensive than urine method. Test could be done as soon as you miss your period.
