General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

After taking depo contraceptive shots or after starting oral contraceptive pills, it is recommended to use other modes of contraception like condoms and spermicidal agents for about 3 weeks, as it needs some time to offer protection against pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
