How does anxiety cause palpitations? I began experiencing this fluttering sensation in my upper chest/throat area. I m a 25 year old male. I was taking testosterone booster. Pre-workout. And taking sleeping medicine at night without any symptoms. I m very fit and in great shape. In the Army. Etc. eventually I drank too much caffeine one day and stacking all these supplements at once. and took too many sleeping pills inducing a panic attack . Since this event, I ve been experiencing this fluttering sensation for a year now. I haven t taken any dietary supplements in a year now and cold turkey from them essentially ever since this panic attack hoping this symptom would subside. I ve had EKG. Heart Holter Monitor. And ECG. And blood tests. All results came back completely normal showing good thyroid function. Liver function. Heart function and structure. Etc. I excercise regularly and they rarely happen when exercising. Only very sporadically and last only a second. I never have any chest pain or dizziness with it. It s just a nuisance. They re not as frequent as they used to be and was told this symptom would eventually go away on its own. All the docs. Cardiologist. And primary care physician all tell me they swear it s anxiety. What do I do? What is this? I just want my life back. Please help me. Thank you.
