How Can Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

Hi, I was went and saw my doctor Wednesday May 31st and was diagnosed with a yeast infection. My doctor prescribed me the 7 day vaginal cream that I used every night. I am still having some signs of a yeast infection and have some achy pelvic pain as well. Could it still be the yeast infection or something more serious? My doctor did a STI test and that came back negative.
