How Can Urinary Incontinence Along With Restless Leg Syndrome Be Treated?

Hi. I am diabetic X 2 years. I get depressed, urinate frequently, often not making it to toilet. I am short tempered, think God hates me, have restless leg syndrome, difficulty sleeping, am addicted to nasal spray so I can breathe, try to eat healthy, but it s kind of far and few between because I love ice cream, not a fan of cereal, but love donuts. I drink alot of diet sodas, and not alot of water. My biggest and most current complaint is that , recently every single day, same time of day, I start to get these major headaches. My head feels like it is going to explode. It is debilitatingly painful. Please help me!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I do not think these 2 are related. In people with mild to moderate restless legs syndrome, lifestyle changes, such as beginning a regular exercise program, establishing regular sleep patterns, and eliminating or decreasing the use of caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco, may be helpful.

Also some home remedies that may help include:
Leg massages, Hot baths or heating pads or ice packs applied to the legs, Good sleep habits.
Medications may be helpful but are used only in severe cases and may be, Neupro, and Requip or benzodiazepines. Anticonvulsants, or antiseizure drugs, such as Tegretol, Lyrica or Neurontin.
Urinary incontinence is common along women after 50 and usually is caused by urinary infections or weakened pelvic floor. This is also a common and often embarrassing problem.
If over reactive or incontinent bladder affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor. For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of behavioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for incontinence control.
If Cystitis a cause as an bacterial infection then it must be treated with antibiotics.
Surgical options are reserved for severe and intractable cases.

I hope I have answered you query.
