General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. Your doctor has started the right treatment. Generally it will take 2 weeks for the typhoid fever to stop. In case it is still persistant IV antibiotics like Ceftriaxone may be required. Meanwhile see to it that the child is taking lot of oral fluids, water, coconut water, ORS in case there is signs of dehydration.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
