How Can Tobacco Addiction Be Withdrawn?

Hello doctor i am a 23 year old male and i am chewing gutkha since past 5 years day by day the habit has incresed....i am not able to quit it....even i took nicotine chewing gum as an alternative.....also my teeth have become red i really want to leave this habbit......and one more question if i go to a dentist and get my teeth cleaned and somehow i am not able to leave this habbit will it damage my teeth...i mean regular teeth cleaning will damage my teeth???

Hello,

It will not cause permanent staining of teeth and more importantly, it may cause oral cancer as well.

You can try nicotine chewing gum or drugs like buspirone. Consult a physician or de-addiction center and he will direct you accordingly.
