How Can Thyroid Patients Lose Weight Apart From Walking And Eating Healthy?

Hello doctor, im female 21, i used to have a fast metabolism and was very fit and an athlete, but suddenly i was gaining weight and in no time i gained 25 kgs and was diagnosed with thyroid. My TSH was 9. then i was under medication and currently im taking 125 mcg tablets and my TSH is 1.3 well into the range. But i am not able to lose the weight i have gained no matter how much i try. I am eating healthy and walking 4-8kms a day. I have lost my atheletic career and into depression. Please help me doctor.

Hi,

First, you should take thyroxine as 1.5 micrograms per kg body weight. Second, keep TSH in mid-range provided by the testing laboratory.
