How Can Syphilis Be Treated?
My partner and I both tested positive for syphilis and got treatment. She seemed to have bad reaction to the penicillin shots but I didn t. We haven t had intercourse since and She was tested again and says her results are still positive. I plan on getting tested again to make sure i m negative but i m wondering, is it possible she only tested positive a second time because she had a bad reaction to the treatment? Or maybe she was retested too soon?

As per my clinical experience, as she was not treated completely due to drug reaction, she is likely to be having syphilis at present still.
You have to complete the scheduled medications for your cure.
I would recommend you to avoid sex till advise of your consultant.
