How Can Swelling In The Ankles After Using Fluocinonide Be Treated?

I took fluocinonide topical solution .05% for my ear. My ear drains at night & is itchy. I put one drop in my right ear. One of the side effects is swelling. My left ankle is swollen & I have been keeping it elevated & icing my ankle! How long will the swelling last?

Hello,

Fluocinonide is a potent glucocorticoid it may cause fluid retention and oedema.

You may use a low dose of diuretics and also check other possibilities of unilateral limb oedema.

Get it done colour doppler of lower limbs, then consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
