How Can Swelling After A Perianal Abscess Removal Be Treated?

I had surgery on a perianal abscess on Saturday, it was packed and the other day... Tuesday is had it removed... forcefully, painfully and unknowingly by a doctor. He told me to repack it but I was terrified so I waited 24 hours. After my bath I tried packing it, but not much went in... maybe 2 inches worth from about 3 foot the other day... idk if it closed a lot or is just swollen so I can t pack it. It s swollen and bleeds but not much pain now. I have no pain meds.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This appears to be edema around, it will subside with time. Continue taking antibiotics and get wound dresses for better drainage from a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
