How Can Stomach Ache Along With Constipation And Diarrhea Be Treated?

My son has been dealing with intestinal pain for 4 or more years now. The doctors have done MRI s, colonoscopy and other tests but with no answers. He has lost weight because it seems whatever he eats doesn t agree with him. He is constipated more, but occasionally has diarehea (spelling? sorry). He hasn t eaten for 2 days now, gets the chills and always feels like he has a knot in his gut. What do you think he should do? He has been tested for crohns, celiac, etc.

Hello,

He may be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome or fatty liver disease or alcoholic liver disease or gastritis or metabolic syndrome etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol, Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use tablet pantoprazole. Avoid lactose and gluten-containing food. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
