How Can Sore Throat Along With Cough And Body Rashes Be Treated?

My daughter 12 years old recently had flu, sore throat and cough followed by hives. Then she took antibiotics for her throat and hives. After 2 weeks of the hives, she has swollen legs and ankle followed by protein in urine. Her sore throat and hives are gone already but she still had some swelling on her ankles and protein in urine for 1 month now. We have seen family doctor and he couldn’t diagnose what’s wrong as her kidney function is normal. Please provide some advise as to the seriousness of this. Thanks so much

your daughter had taken antibiotics and improvement of throat occur as you said but the problem now for you is the protein of urine and swelling of ankle....we see in our clinic that patients have severe bacterial infection of throat is followed by glomerulonephritis as the infection affect the kidney when prolonged time..presence of protein in urine no worry of that if the percentage is mild..simply urine culture for your daughter will be helpful to take antibiotics as amoxicillin of kidney infection suggestion and give her ibubrufen syrup as antiinflammatory with frinking alot of fluids to flush kidney
