General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The condition that you are describing sounds like seborrhoeic dermatitis, which can be treated by washing the affected areas with an antifungal shampoo (can be used on all areas of the skin).

The shampoo should be left on for 5 minutes and this should be done twice a day, that is Ketozal shampoo. An antifungal cream and oral antifungal can also be used, that is of antifungal creams like Clotrimazole, Econazole and Ketoconazole. It can take 2 to 4 weeks to respond.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
