How Can Side Effects Of Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride Be Managed?

I took 400 mg of Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride I haven t ever taken it before, Its been 2 days since I took them. And I still feel the side effects of them. The day after I took them I just wanted to sleep all day and not get up I was so tired. Now it s the second day since I took them and I just feel restless and anxious and just like I m messed up on something. And I was wondering if Its possible that they are still making me feel funny for some reason. Or if there is something else wrong with me..

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

These side effects are common with chrorpromazine specially when started. If the drug is indicated , i would suggest you should start with low dose, and gradually increase the dose. If still the problem is there , you can always change it with the advice of your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
