How Can Shoulder Pain Be Treated?

I have had shoulder pain for a while. At first I thought it was an overuse injury or a strength difference between arms. Now that I am not doing those activities anymore, my shoulder continues to hurt, and not get better with time. It has been three months since the season has ended.

hi sir/mam, pain in the shoulder has got many causes like the following :
1)frozen shoulder(most common in diabetics)
2)any shoulder cuff(rotator cuff) injury
3)shoulder joint osteoarthritis
4)subacromial bursitis(inflammation of joint lining)
5) cervical spondylosis or disc compression leading to impingement of nerve causing pain
6)cervical radiculopathy
7)tendon calcification.
anyhow a simple x-ray of shoulder joint would help in arriving at an accurate diagnosis.so, kindly go for an orthopedician and if necessary, he may order an ultrasound of shoulder joint.
for the time being, the following are some recommendations for pain relief :
1)NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aceclofenac in combination with muscle relaxants like thiocolchiside or chlorzoxazone to be taken twice daily after food.
2)in order to reduce the rist of gastric irritation, tab.pantoprazole to be taken once daily before food.
3)if you have any kidney issues, avoid NSAIDs and you can go for tramadol with paracetamol twice daily.
hope my answer clarifies your doubts.any further queries, please do write to us.i'm always here to guide you.thank you.take care.bye.
