General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Once the acute episode of shingles subsides, it is safe to resume cosmetic treatments like Botox.

However, there are few reported cases of acute exacerbation of shingles after botulinum injection. So, you may have to consider talking to your doctor regarding starting anti-viral medications before the procedure to prevent relapse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
