How Can Severe Upper Back Pain Along With Headache Be Treated?

Hello. I had an accident doing barbell squats two days ago. After my second squat I was unable to complete the third and ended up falling forward. I ve had neck and upper back pain ever since but I assumed it would clear up after a short while. However, today when I was doing some house cleaning I started having head pain and ringing in my ears, and I had to sit down. I ve also been having near-constant drainage in the back of my throat since then. After some web research I m concerned I could be experiencing a CSF leak. Is it possible this could be the case?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it will be spine related conditions like a prolapsed disc.

Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

As of now, analgesics like Gabapentin can be taken for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
