How Can Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen Be Treated?

Hello, My wife is undergoing treatment for ectopic pregnancy. ....Diagnosed on 15/3/2017.... Her first dose of Folitrax 50 started on 15 and on 16 she was given calcium injection. ...This continued till 23/3/2017......She had no pain till then and Hcg levels reduced from 2108 to 1608....But suddenly on 27th she had unbearable lower pain .....She was rushed to her Gyno. Who suggested an Trans vaginal ultrasound(TVS) and after that again injected a does of Folitrax 50 and an injection for pain and asked her to take two Mefigest 200....Still the pain is there sometimes less and sometimes more..The doctor asked to conduct an HCG test and report shows 865.....He has again asked to perform an TVS and Hcg level on 30/3/2017......Please help...?What should I do is the treatment going in the right way? Urgent help required

Hi,

She might have developed a stricture after the first procedure. Proceed with the HCG scan.

As of now, you can take analgesics like Mefenamic Acid for symptomatic relief. Nothing much to worry and your treatment is on the right track.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
