How Can Severe Pain In The Left Big Toe Be Treated?

Hi! I have been having pain in my left big toe for about month now. It first seemed hard on top and I can t bend it. Now today but has a distinct red ring around it and it still feels quite hard. I don t remember hurting g it at all. I am a 51 yr old female generally healthy.

hello madam,
there is a chance that you are suffering from gout so please check your blood uric acid level.....
osteo arthritis can also cause this so please undergo a blood test of esr,and an x-ray must be done along with synovial fluid analysis........
but if it pains too much then take a aceclofenac tablet or paracetamol tablets and take a pantoprazole tablet in the morning before taking pain killers.
take a piece of cotton soak it in warm water and apply over the swelling or do hot fomentation over the swelling.
