I had hip Labrum arthroscopic surgery four weeks ago,the stabbing pain has gone but I m more disabled,it is very painful to stand ,rise from sitting,keeps me awake ,pills don t help the pain,the surgeon told me I would need total hip replacement in a year or two as it was bone to bone ,the amount of arthritis Justifys total hip replacement,my concern is why didn t the surgeon do that ,instead of the Labrum surgery,should I find another dr.im 74 yr old ,active female.i am confined to my down stairs bedroom. Stairs are differcult to hop.should I give it more time,I m thinking I need the total hip replacement soon thanks carol.
