How Can Severe Pain In The Buttocks And Legs Be Treated?

What can be done for someone who has had 2 back surgeries, back looks perfect no tumors or infection all the nerves have been un impinged yet continues to suffer horrible siatic pain down left butt and leg. Been to mayo last week was told there is nothing the dr s can do. He doesn t want to have opiate meds that can get him hooked. He s tried acupuncture, pt, now is having massage but it really isn t helping the problem. He has given up any hope of relief and is in a deep depression. We need some answers and quick!

Hello,

It could be due to neuropathic causes like sciatica. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Gabapentin or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult a neurologist and get evaluated. An MRI scan is required for further assessment.
