How Can Severe Headaches Be Treated After Removal Of ParaGard IUD?

Had my aragard IUD removed on 08/3/18. Been having terrible headaches, backaches, nausea, urinating every other hour, tender breasts, mood swings. Had unprotected sex with my partner the day before it came out. Took a home pregnancy test, but came out negative. Can I be pregnant and how can I get rid of these headaches? Prescription pain meds and otc meds are not working. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

It is not related to IUD removal. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
