Hii Doctor I am suffering from dead scalp problem. Due to that I have become bald at the age of 22. I have tried numerous medicines and did mesotherapy but nothing worked. As I have oily skin so doctor advised to do shampoo everyday. That did not work. I experience dead scalp coming out of my hed throughout the year and it looks very ugly. First it develops white patches on forehead and then comes out. Please tell me how to get rid of this. Regards
It would be best to consult a dermatologist, this is a doctor that deals with problems related to the skin, including the scalp. It is possible that you have a fungal infection involving the scalp, this can cause hair loss and it needs to be treated oral anti-fungal medication for it to resolve completely. Using topical medications or shampoos only would not work for this type of condition. The dermatologist would give you a prescription for the medication that would work best for you. There are different antifungals, that is fluconazole, itraconazole, griseofulvinI.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
